The History of YAR

Sandy Dickerson is a really creative dude. We played together in Pandacon for years, he’s a member of the Chris Poage band as well as Kettle Black and a ton of other cool projects. Sandy has always been a huge fan of the band morphine and came to me with a batch of tunes inspired by them with a slightly more psychedelic flare. I started collaborating with Sandy in the studio on Bari Sax. Then we spent hours on a crash course with adobe premiere and made a kick ass music video. But the actual band began when we did a morphine tribute show at the Seamonster with Casey Brookbush on drums. It was apparent we had found good chemistry. We then went into Dan Bagnalls studio and recorded an energized live album direct to tape. We played a show with Star Anna and one at the greenwood art walk. The future is wide open!
